Australia-listed NuEnergy Capital Limited reported positive results from the drilling in the first well at its Muara Enim CBM project, with 38.2 meters (net) of coal confirmed and one continuous coal seam of 19 meters identified.

The results are consistent with the previous estimates for prospective gas-in-place provided by PT Trias Energy Perkasa (2011) and RISC (June 2010). A prospective resource estimate prepared by Trias Energy estimated that the gross gas-in-place in the concession is between 4.1 and 4.6 tcf.

The drilling rig has moved to the second Muara Enim drill site located 5 kilometers to the west and is planned to be drilled to a depth of 1,000 meters.

The Muara Enim and Muara Enim II PSC?s are located in South Sumatra comprising a combined area of 1,861 km2.
