NuEnergy to develop shale gas in South Sumatra

After having been successful in conducting dewatering process at a pilot project in the Muara Enim CBM gas field in South Sumatra, NuEnergy through subsidiary PT Trisula CBM Energy plans to carry out shale gas development in the concession.
NuEnergy CEO Christopher Newport told Petromindo.com that the company has submitted the shale gas development proposal to the upstream authority BPMIGAS.
He added that the company plans to develop shale gas in three blocks at the South Sumatra concession, hoping to get shale gas in 2013. He did not provide further details.
