ASX-listed NuEnergy Gas Limited announced it plans to commence drilling of two additional pilot production wells in the second quarter of 2013 at its Muara Enim CBM PSC in South Sumatra.

It will follow the completion of drilling in two core wells with conversion of well-2 to pilot production well and flared gas, the company said in its latest presentation.

NuEnergy holds the operatorship and a 40 percent participating share.

The company said that the two additional pilot production wells are planned to be drilled at the pilot production site in April at the latest.

The Muara Enim pilot production well is currently being completed across most of the Suban and Mangus coal seams to test the well productivity across 66 percent of the available coal seams (increasing from 18 percent).
