The company said gas resource at Muara Enim PSC has been estimated by PT Trias Energy Perkasa as being between 4.1 and 4.6 Tcf.
?All drilling pads and land access agreements have been completed, enabling drilling to commence immediately upon the arrival of the rig in Sumatra in late October,? the company said.
Gas in place estimates are in the process of being matured and these will be further updated upon the completion of the current coal coring program and laboratory analysis of coal samples.
It said drilling and pilot wells being completed and operated in adjacent CBM concessions in the same coal basin within the next six months will assist in further refining gas resource estimates.
Muara Enim pilot production plant proposals are pending the results of the current drilling program so that pilot wells may be optimally placed within the PSC.
The Muara Enim PSC is located in South Sumatra. It comprises of a combined area of 1,861 km2, containing 10-40 meter thick, low rank coal seams ranging in depth from 350-1300 meters. (romel)
