PT Trisula CBM Energi, a subsidiary of NuEnergy Gas Limited, is in talks with state-owned electricity firm Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to sell coalbed methane gas from the Muara Enim field in South Sumatra.

?We?re still in discussion with PLN, which is interested in our CBM gas,? CEO of NuEnergy Christopher Newport told Petromindo.com, adding that a sales agreement hopefully could be signed next year.

Christopher said that NuEnergy has successfully conducted dewatering and flaring at the CBM gas pilot project in the Muara Enim field on October 24, 2012.

?The peak CBM gas production rate from the pilot production well based on permeability data is expected to be between 0.25 and 1.25 million standard cubic feet per day,? he said.

Head of Gas and Fuel Division at PLN, Suryadi Mardjoeki confirmed talks between his company and NuEnergy for the possibility of gas purchase from the Muara Enim CBM project. ?We had been in talks with NuEnergy,? he told Petromindo.com.
