Nusa Konstruksi sees new contracts up by 196 percent

IDX-listed construction firm PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk said that its total new contracts until November this year had increased by 196 percent as compared to that in 2011.

The total value of the new contracts reaches Rp Rp 2,25 trillion, as compared to Rp 759 billion last year.

With the new contracts the total value of contracts being implemented by the company has reached Rp 3,35 trillion, which include Rp 1.1 trillion carried forward from last year.

?We managed to get new contracts, which consist of developments of apartments, hotels, roads, dam, and infrastructure of power plant,? said Djohan Halim, Corporate Secretary of Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring.

Currently, he said, the company is constructing the Botanica apartment in Jakarta, Skyline Office & Condotel in Surabaya, bypass project in Lampung, and several projects under finalization, such as the infrastructure project of PT Chevron Indonesia in Duri, Riau, and the infrastructure for gold mining project Martabe in North Sumatra.

?Several of the new contracts will be conducted within the period of one and half years to two years. All of the new contracts will contribute to our company?s income up to the year 2014,? said Djohan.

During the first nine months this year, Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring had booked a total income of Rp 839 billion, which increased by four percent from that of the same period last year. Its net profit in the period reached Rp 37 billion, an increase of 63% as compared to that in 2011.
