Nusantara Energy plans LNG receiving terminal, mini refinery

Kontan reported on Friday that the US$200 million project will comprise of construction of jetty, 160,000m3-capacity of LNG storage, and a 2x375 mmscfd-capacity of regasification unit.
?Land requirement has been cleared, and feasibility study has also been completed,? said President Director of Nusantara Energy, Junaidi Elvis as quoted by the paper, adding that the company is currently waiting for the approval of the environmental impact assessment or AMDAL.
As has been previously reported, Nusantara Energy also plans to develop an integrated mini refinery at the Situbondo Refinery Industry in East Java.
The US$1.6 billion project is currently at the stage of feasibility study, but construction is expected to start next year. As has been reported by this portal previously, the mini refinery will have a capacity of 3,000 bpd producing motor gasoline and jet fuel to meet local demand. The company will import the crude raw material from Singapore-based Vitol Asia Pte Ltd. (*)
