Nusantara Regas expects Tangguh to start delivering LNG in 2013

PT Nusantara Regas hopes that LNG from BP?s Tangguh facility in Papua to start delivering gas to its Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in West Java next year. The company is currently seeking to reach a sales and purchase agreement with BP for the supply of 0.4 million tons of LNG per year.
?We?re still seeking (to finalize) this deal. We, however, expect that gas supply from Tangguh of 0.4 million tons per year to start next year until 2022,? said Nusantara Regas President Director Hendra Jaya late on Tuesday.
Hendra said that the Tangguh gas will be extra supply to help meet the 1.5 million tons per year of supply target for the West Java FSRU. Therefore, the bulk of the LNG supply for the FSRU will still come from the Mahakam Block owned by Total E&P Indonesie.
?The (gas) supply composition for the West Java FSRU that we expect to start next year is 1.1 million tons from the Mahakam Block and 0.4 million tons from Tangguh,? he said.
?We expect that the 1.5 million tons per year supply is the minimum target until 2022, because approaching 2017, we may possibly obtain LNG supply from the Jangkrik field operated by ENI and LNG import,? Hendra added.
