NR?s president director Djohardi Angga Kusumah told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the value of the project is about US$29 million. The project is expected to be completed within 12 month after the contract is signed, he said.
He did not mention when the signing of the contract will be conducted.
In September, CFO Soetikno said the tender drew a number of companies including India?s Punj Lloyd, PT Rekayasa Industri and PT Intikarya Persada Teknik.
NR is a joint venture between state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) and state gas distribution firm PT PGN (Persero) with the former holding a 60 percent stake.
NR is planning to build an LNG floating storage and receiving terminal with a processing capacity of up to 3 million tons of LNG per year. The terminal is planned to be completed in late 2011 or early 2012.
LNG supply for the project will partly be provided by Total-operated Mahakam block.
State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) will offtake most of the LNG to fuel its power plants in Jakarta area. (bernard)
