PT Nusantara Regas is making preparations to soon launch an EPC tender for a pipeline tie-in project to allow the company to distribute gas from its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in West Java to the Tanjung Priok combined cycle power plant by using the existing pipeline owned by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi ONWJ.

?We have prepared the engineering design. Tender will be held soon for the pipeline tie-in project so that Nusantara Regas could distribute gas from the FSRU via the PHE ONWJ facility under a cost sharing agreement,? Nusantara Regas President Director Hendra Jaya told Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

Hendra said that the target is for the pipeline tie-in project to be completed in 2013. ?The pipeline belonging to PHE ONWJ already existed. Nusantara Regas will only have to make a tie-in and prepare a number of extra equipment such as metering,? he said.
