O&M contract for PLTU Sanggau signed

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has signed a Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract with its subsidiary PT Indonesia Power allowing the latter to operate and maintain its 2x7 MW PLTU Sanggau coal fired power plant in West Kalimantan.
The contrat was signed on Oct. 31, 2014 by PLN?s General Manager for West Kaliantan, Hot Martua Balara, and Indonesia Power?s Director of Development and Commerce Antonius RT Artono, Indonesia Power said in a press statement obtained Thursday.
Earlier reports said the power plant was developed by PT ZUG Industry Indonesia for PLN. It remains unclear if it has been finished.
PLN?s Head of Power Generation Division in Eastern Indonesia, Sapto Triono, who was present at the signing ceremony, said aside from Indonesia Power, the power plant will also be operated and maintained by PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB). He did not explain however if PLN has signed an O&M contract with PJB.
