OCBC bank acquires stake in Exploitasi Energi Indonesia

IDX-listed energy company PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk announced Monday that Singapore-based OCBC bank has acquired a 9.76 percent shares in the company for Rp 230 billion from PT Saihatama Internasional Mandiri (SIM).

According to the IDX, prior to the transaction the shareholders of PT Exploitasi are SIM (65.36% shares), Gupta Yamin (5.16%), and public investors (29.46%).

Exploitasi holds a coal mining license covering an area of 498.7 hectares in Riam Andungan and around Kintap Sub-district, District of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan.

The company also operates 2?7 MW steam power plants in Pangkalan Bun (Central kalimantan) and currently in the construction phase for 2?7 MW in Rengat (Riau) and Tembilahan (Riau).
