Oil lifting exceeds target

The paper quoted spokesman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Elan Biantoro as saying that oil lifting in March reached 833,000 bpd, higher than 830,000 bpd set in the 2016 state budget.
Elan said that among of the oil and gas contractors who exceeded their respective lifting targets included PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia at the Rokan oil field in Riau, and ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd at the Cepu block in Central and East Java.
Chevron and Exxon have lifting target respectively at 247,950 bpd and 161,120 bpd, the paper said.
Vice President for Strategic Business Support at Chevron Pacific Indonesia Yanto Sianipar was quoted as saying that his company has become the second largest contributor to the country?s oil lifting after state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.
Pertamina?s subsidiary PT Pertamina EP was the largest contributor to the oil lifting, contributing 275,000 bpd to the country?s total oil lifting. Output from Banyu Urip field, in Cepu block, accounted for 160,00 bpd. (*)
