Some contractors have warned upstream authority SKK Migas that their oil tanks has been full or will be full the near future but they could not lift the oil due to the absence of lifting supervisors from SKK Migas to allow the lifting, according to industrial sources.
In East Kalimantan, for instance, Pertamina EP has seen its oil tank in Sanga-Sanga field becoming full of oil but it could not lift the oil since no SKK Migas official has come to allow the lifting.
Meanwhile, in South Sumatra, Tanjung Pal terminal is projected to be completely full by Jan. 17 unless SKK Migas gives a greenlight for lifting by Jan. 15.
According to sources, SKK Migas could not send its workers there because the Ministry of Finance has yet to transfer budget for trip for the officials of the agency.
SKK Migas?s spokesperson Rudianto Rimbono said no oil tank has thus far become full, adding SKK Migas is trying to solve the problem.
?There isn?t yet any tank that has been full. Anyway, we are finalizing managerial solutions to the problem,? he said.
