SKK Migas Chairman Rudi Rubiandini stated that current oil production reached only 826,000 bopd.

"The decline in production to 826,000 bopd is caused by the aging of production wells and bad weather conditions at the beginning of this year," Rudi said in a hearing with the Commission VII of the House of Representatives, in Jakarta, Wednesday (30/1).

However, Rudi is optimistic that by the end of 2013 oil production would reach 830,000 bopd. "Until the end of December, we are working so that the production (target) of 830.000 bopd would not be missed," he said.

"In 2014, oil production is expected to reach 900,000 bopd, while in 2015 oil production will reach 1 million bopd. That could be achieved if Cepu Block has started operation," he explained.

Relating to oil lifting target of 850,000 bopd set in the state budget, Rudi hoped that the government may revise its oil lifting and report back to the House for approval.
