Oil production reaches 904,000 bpd in Jan-July: Team

In its report to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, the TP3M team said the average daily oil production was still lower than the government?s target, partly due to the fall in the production in June and July.
The daily production in June and July 1-19 averaged 894,000 bpd and 899,000 bpd, respectively.
The low production came as a result of temporary shutdown of a number of several oil and gas fields in East Kalimantan, the team said. ?The oil production is expected to increase starting mid-July once maintenance on the oil and gas fields has been completed,? the team said.
According to the team, the loss of oil production caused by unplanned shutdown declined to 21,600 bpd during the January to mid-July period of this year from 25,700 bpd in the same period of 2010. (godang)
