Oiltanking starts Indonesian ops

Indonesian unit of German liquid storage firm Oiltanking GmbH has completed first phase of its deepwater fuel storage in Merak, Banten with capacity 282,500 cbm early last month, a company official said.
PT.Oiltanking Indonesia Office Manager Christine Manasseh told Petromindo.com that the company has conducted soft launching recently and has already serving customers.
She did not give detail about the company?s clients.
Oiltanking is planning to develop 600,000 cbm oil terminal, which will be equipped to handle the full range of petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, fuel oil as well as jet fuel and LPG.
The terminal will serve as a distribution terminal to the Greater Jakarta markets as well as provide break of bulk services for Indonesia.
She did not say when the terminal?s full capacity will be achieved. (denny)
