OKI?s Muara Kuang district has 119 oil wells

The number of oil wells in Muara Kuang district, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) South Sumatera has reached 119 wells, according to a survey made by the local district administration, Sumatera Express daily reported.

The head of the district Fachrurozi said in Kayuagung on Tuesday that the oil wells were found in Tanjung Miring, Kayuara, Tangai, Tambang Rambang and Tanjung Bulan villages. The oil wells are operated by state owned oil and gas company Pertamina.

He said that the survey, which was made to determine the level of the oil source in the district, would continue.

?We don?t want just to find the number of the oil wells, but most importantly the amount of oil reserve,? he added.(*)
