Oman to develop refinery in RI

Oman has expressed interest to develop oil refinery in Riau with planned investment of about US$7 billion, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said told Petromindo.com.
Sudirman revealed the investment plan after accompanying Vice President Jusuf Kalla on Thursday to meet visiting Omani senior officials.
He stated that the construction of the planned refinery is expected to start early next year. Oman will supply the required crude when the facility is completed, he added.
