Upstream oil and gas regulator BPMIGAS said the scheduled maintenance of Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) gas block owned by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi is delayed to early next year from this month previously planned.

The maintenance of Oyong field owned by Santos Ltd will also be delayed.

BPMIGAS predicts potential production loss due to the maintenance work would reach 140 MMSCFD of gas and oil of 3,000 bopd.

The maintenance of Oyong gas field owned by Santos Ltd will also be delayed to November this year from October. The maintenance is expected to cut gas production from the field by around 110-120 MMSCFD.

?The maintenance work of ONWJ has been prepared well. However, the maintenance work of Oyong is unclear yet pending the arrival of jack up rig, which was partly damaged due to collision with a vessel,? BPMIGAS division head for public relation, Gde Pradnyana told Petromindo.com.

"The maintenance of the Oyong field is not certain yet after a vessel accidentally hit the jack up rig owned by Santos. The incident occurred at around KE-40", said Gde. (godang)
