Gas supply from the Pertamina-operated Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block, West Java. began flowing to the Cilamaya LPG plant on March 15, marking the start of operations at the gas processing facility.
The plant, located in Karawang, West Java, is designed to process around 40 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas from ONWJ.
It has a production capacity of approximately 163 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per day and about 300 barrels of condensate per day, according to project developers.

PT Energi Nusantara Perkasa, one of the developers, said the facility processes gas with a relatively high propane and butane content, allowing for LPG extraction.
The plant uses mechanical refrigeration and turbo expander systems, along with fractionation and absorption units, to separate LPG components from natural gas streams.
