ONWJ to ramp up gas production

Gas production from Pertamina-operated Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) will increase by 20MMCFD in the next three weeks, acompany official said on Monday.
ONWJ GM Tenny Wibowo said that additional gas from the block will be sold to state electricity firm PLN for its power plants in Muara Karang and Tanjung Priok in Jakarta.
?Gas sales agreement for additional gas is currently being finalized,? he said.
Tenny said with production addition, ONWJ?s gas production would be at around 240MMCFD.
The block is operated by Pertamina after acquiring 46 percent interest from BP Plc earlier this year. A Pertamina official said ONWJ produced 26,000 barrels of oil. (bernard)
