OPEC, non-OPEC oil producers to meet in Bali on July 6

Some members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) are scheduled to meet with several non-OPEC oil producers in Bali on July 6 to discuss the latest development of oil prices, a senior official of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) said on Tuesday.

OPEC Secretary General Ali Rodriguez will chair the meeting which will be held in conjunction with the third Indonesia Oil and Gas Conference, said KADIN vice chairman Kusumo AM, Neraca daily reported.

China?s minister of energy and oil had confirmed to attend the Bali meeting, while Russia would possibly be represented by its deputy minister of energy, Kusumo said. China and Russia are non-OPEC oil suppliers.

President Megawati Sukarnoputri will open the annual Indonesia Oil and Gas Conference. (*)
