Operation of PLTU Indramayu postponed

State owned electricity firm PT PLN said that commercial operation date (COD) status of the 1,000 MW PLTU Indramayu coal-fired power plant project has been delayed to 2023 from initial target of 2021.
Director of Business for central part of Java region at PLN, Nasri Sebayang said Monday this was due to delay in funding and pre-construction activities.
He said that construction of the $4 billion project, funded by JICA, is expected to start next year as over 91 percent of required land has been acquired.
