Ophir plans 3D seismic survey in Bangkanai, West Bangkanai PSCs

Ophir Indonesia (Bangkanai) Limited & Ophir Indonesia (West Bangkanai) Limited plan a 560 sqkm 3D seismic data acquisition at the Bangkanai block and West Bangkanai block in Central Kalimantan this year.
Ophir said that tender for 3D onshore seismic data acquisition services is currently in progress.
It added that necessary equipment, supporting facilities and personnel are expected to be already in location in July of this year.
Ophir Energy Plc acquired last year Salamander Energy plc.
According to company website, Ophir has interests in 12 PSCs in Indonesia. These include the Kerendan gas field development and two adjacent exploration licences, North East Bangkanai and West Bangkanai in onshore Kalimantan; four exploration licences in the Makassar Strait and four deepwater exploration licences in Eastern Indonesia.
