Ophir plans 3D seismic surveys in Bangkanai end of this year

Ophir Indonesia (Bangkanai), a subsidiary of UK-based firm Ophir Energy plc, plans to carryout 3D seismic survey activities at the Bangkai block, and West Bangkanai block, in Central Kalimantan Province, at the end of this year.
This was said by Bambang Arianto, Public Relations Head at the Kalimantan and Sulawesi office of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas to Petromindo.com on Monday.
?3D seismic acquisition in Bangkanai will be held at the end of 2016, which covers quite a large area of 2,300 km2,? he said, but did not provide further details.
According to company website, Ophir has a 100 percent operated interest in the North East Bangkanai Block and a 70 percent operated interest in the Bangkanai and the West Bangkanai Blocks covering a gross area of 12,352 km2.
