OPIC to lend Unocal up to US$400m

U.S.-based investment firm Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) plans to provide oil and gas firm Unocal between US$300 million-$400 million in loan to help finance the development of the West Seno oil and gas field in the Makassar Straits, in South Sulawesi, according to Kardaya Warnika, an expert staff of the Office of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Kardaya was speaking to the press on Thursday. He said that OPIC and Unocal officials met with Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro Thursday.
