Orchard to operate floating crane in Adang Bay

Singapore Shipping firm Orchard Maritime Services Pte Ltd (OMS) will operate two new floating cranes in Adang Bay, East Kalimantan early next year.

GM-Indonesia Azis Muttaqien told Petromindo.Com that the cranes, which are currently being built in Batam, will have capacity of 17,000 tonnes per day each.

Azis said that the Company is currently looking for customers to use the cranes.

He also added that the Company will also add one panamax to its fleet by year-end.

OMS, is a subsidiary of French firm Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.

OMS currently operates 7 sets of tugs and barges in Indonesia. (denny)
