Orica starts Bontang ammonium nitrate production

Australian explosive maker Orica Limited reported on Monday that its ammonium nitrate plant in Bontang, East Kalimantan has been in production since April 19, 2012.
The Bontang plant has capacity to produce 300,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate annually with all production expected to be absorbed by domestic market.
Orica has 51 percent stake in the plant.
