Orica to award Bontang ammonium nitrate plant EPC Dec

Global explosive maker Orica Limited reported on Monday that it was assessing EPC contract tender for its Bontang ammonium nitrate plant, East Kalimantan, with decision expected December 2008.

The company did not give further detail.

The company also reported that it was ?progressively? ordering key item for the plant and has completed land reclamation, adding that the plant?s construction was ?on track at this stage?.

Orica will invest US$550 million in Bontang plant, which will produce 300,000 TPA ammonium nitrate when completed.(alex)
