Consultant SRK Consulting has estimated that Australian firm Oropa Limited would require total capital expenditure of US$75.6 million to develop its Pungkut gold project, North Sumatra.

Oropa said in an Annual Report released Monday that the expenditure included new equipment, infrastructure and allowance for contingencies and working capital.

?At present, the above capital expenditure scenarios are indicative and actual capex would not be established until the completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study,? the company said.

Oropa is planning to develop the Pungkut gold project based on nominal plant throughput of 1 million tones of ore per annum and production of 63,000 oz of gold per year. (denny)
