Oropa recommences drilling at N. Sumatra gold project

Australian exploration firm Oropa Limited announced on Friday recommencement of drilling in the North Block of Pungkut gold project in North Sumatra.

?Drilling is targeting a large geophysical IP anomaly immediately west of and parallel to the 100,000 oz Au Sambung inferred resource,? said the company.

The first hole testing the geophysical anomaly has intersected silicified rock, with 600 meters anomaly identified, it said.

The objective of drilling the Sihayo-Sambung trend is to increase the resource base from 710,000 oz au to more than 1 million oz Au. (alex)
