Australian mining firm Oropa Limited reported Monday another drilling success at its Sihayo 1 North prospect, located in the North Block of its 75 percent owned Pungkut Project, North Sumatra.

Oropa said drill hole SHDD076 encountered several zones of gold and silver mineralization including: 5m @ 238.75g/t Ag from 41m (including 1 m @ 522g/t Ag from 43m) and 5m @ 66.25g/t Ag from 54m.

Oropa said the high grade silver mineralization encountered in SHDD076 is unusual for the area, as silver grades typically have a 1:1 relationship with gold grades. Hole SHDD076 ended in an 18m cavity, thought to be a recent cave that has formed within the fractured and altered limestone.

?Oropa plans to follow up this exciting result with further drilling to establish the orientation of mineralization and its lateral and vertical extent,? the company added. (denny)
