Orpheus sales about 73 KT in Q2

ASX-listed Orpheus Energy Limited reported on Wednesday that he company achieved sales of 72,955 tons in the June quarter, with fuel being shipped to a variety of buyers including domestic utilities and Indonesian trading groups, from the company?s South Kalimantan?s operations.
The company said that the sales in April was 20,612 tons, May 21,315 tons and June?s at level of 31,028 tons.
?Again, continuing poor weather in the South Kalimantan area persisted for much of the last quarter, somewhat hampering mining activities, however, monthly tonnage is steadily increasing and by the third week in July, over 27,000 tonnes had been shipped,? said the company.
Orpheus has continued to focus on cost control in its operations to increase the return on the coal sales, and this outcome will be enhanced as the company secures increased barge loading slot capability over the coming months, said the quarterly report.
Orpheus holds sales contracts for the current quarter of over 80,000 tons, and the company continues to work to ensure shipments in accordance with contracts.
Orpheus secured a 50% interest in Orpheus?s JV partner PT Mega Coal?s ADK operating coal mine located in South Kalimantan.
