Australian oil company Lion Energy Limited expected that repair works in Oseil oil field in Seram island in Maluku province would be completed soon and the field would return to full production.

?There are still some minor teething problems occurring in main production facility, but it is anticipated that the problem would be resolved quickly with a consequent return to full production,? said the company in its quarterly report to the Australian Stock exchange.

Lion has 2.5 percent working interest in Seram Non-Bula PSC, where Oseil field is located. Kuwaiti?s Kufpec is the block operator with 97.5 percent working interest.

Oseil recommenced production October last year after being shut down months after initial production.

Lion earlier said when stabilized, Oseil production is expected to be approximately 8,000 BOPD, ramping up to 18,000 BPD by the end of this year with the streaming of new development wells. (alex).
