Oti-1 drilling in Donggala PSC ongoing

French oil giant TotalFinaElf and partners had drilled to the depth of 3, 250 meters in Donggala offshore exploration block in Makassar Strait, East Kalimantan, an official from upstream oil and gas authority BP Migas said.

Oti-1 wildcat well was spudded on March 14 this year with total planned depth of 3,958 meters in approximately 3,600 feet depth of water, said Trijana Kartoatmodjo, a senior official at BP Migas Friday.

He did not disclose whether hydrocarbon indication had been encountered during the drilling.

Participants in Donggala PSC are: TotalFinaElf E&P Indonesie (32.72 percent) INPEX (32.72 percent), Unocal Corp. (19.55 percent) and Pertamina (15 percent). (godang)
