Output of Pertamina?s Bunyu field quadruples

The oil output of Bunyu in East Kalimantan, a marginal field owned by state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina EP rises four times following an ?optimization? program, the firm said on Friday.
The field has so far produced an average 6,400 barrels per day (bpd) this month, up from an average 1,400 bpd last month, Pertamina EP?s operational director Bagus Sudaryanto said in a statement.
Earlier, the firm managed to increase Sanga-Sanga Tarakan, also a marginal field in East Kalimantan, to an average 5,300 bpd in 2009 from 4300 bpd in 2008 and the Rimau field in South Sumatra to 12,000 bpd last year from 6,000 bpd in 2007. (Kanti)
