Oxiana eyeing Indonesian coal, mineral assets

Australian mining firm Oxiana Resources said on Thursday it was looking to increase its Indonesian portfolio through acquisition of coal and mineral assets, Australian media reported.
Managing Director Owen Hegarty said beside coal the company would likle to search for nickel assets. He did not give further detail.
The company is currently working towards the completion of a feasibility study for the Martabe gold project in Sumatra, which Hegarty believes gives Oxiana a very strong start in Indonesia.
The company also has interest in Kalimantan mineral project through partners Kalimantan Gold Limited. (*)
