PT Tanjung Power Indonesia (TPI) has awarded P?yry Plc with the owner's engineer services assignment for a 2x100 MW coal-fired power plant project in South Kalimantan.

TPI is owned by PT Adaro Power and Korea East-West Power Co.,Ltd.

P?yry said in a statement Wednesday that the assignment includes project management services and design review services for the project. The overall schedule for the project is 33 months and the project is scheduled to be completed by July 2018.

The power plant is being implemented under Indonesia's Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme, whereby the electricity is sold to the Indonesian government-owned electricity company PT PLN Persero (PLN).

This is a continuation of P?yry's earlier assignment in the same project. P?yry has been involved in the project from the start of the development phase, assisting TPI in the preliminary design, IPP bidding, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) tendering and contract negotiations, the company said.

?In Indonesia, P?yry is currently helping our clients in several coal and gas-fired, hydro power and renewable energy projects, in plant capacities up to 2,000 MW", said Raffael Schubiger, Head of Thermal Power at P?yry.
