Pacific Oil & Gas Indonesia plans to build power plant in Bontang

PT Pacific Oil & Gas Indonesia, which is owned by Indonesian tycoon Soekanto Tanoto, plans to build a 150-megawatt gas fired power plant in Bontang, East Kalimantan.

?Negotiation with (state owned electricity firm) PT PLN, including on the price of power, is now in progress? Pacific Oil & Gas? power general manager Riki Ibrahim told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday.

He said the firm hoped to get gas supplies from French firm Total E&P Indonesie. However, there had been no talks between both firms. (Alex)
