Padangbara increases coal output at C. Kalimantan mine

Coal miner PT Padangbara Sukses Makmur, a unit of Padang Karunia Group is producing 100,000 tonnes per month at present, up from 40,000-50,000 per month earlier, at its Muara Teweh coal mine in North Barito regency, Central Kalimantan.

The source said that the mine is still having space for any potential buyers for the coal.

The mine is located about 20 kilometers from Barito river with transhipment point for the coal situated in Taboneo in South Kalimantan.

The company?s coal, called ?Anugerah Coal?, has calorific value of 5,800-6,000 kcal/kg (ADB) with total moisture of 24 percent, ash content of 7-8 percent and low sulphur cotent of 0.8 percent. (denny)
