Paiton opens 480KT coal supply tender

PT. Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB), a unit state electricity firm PLN, announced on Wednesday the opening of low CV coal supply tender for its Paiton power plant, East Java.
PJB said that the 480,000 tonnes coal tender would be for June 2008-June 2009 delivery.
The company requires coal with CV of 4,300-4,500 Kcal/kg AR, maximum total moisture of 34 percent, and maximum ash content of 6 percent, maximum HGI of 48 percent and maximum sulfur content of 0.5 percent.
Eligible bidders are miners with production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per month and have been in production for at least six month.
Interested bidders could obtain documents from May 7 to May 16, 2008, the announcement said. (denny)
