Paiton VIII coal-fired power plant resumes operation: PLN

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that Paiton VIII coal-fired power plant in East Java has resumed operation and entered the Java-Bali interconnection system.

?The Paiton VIII coal-fired power plant would start to enter Java-Bali power system on Sunday (Nov 12.) at 4 a.m, ? said PLN's spokesman Muljo Adji AG in Jakarta on last Saturday.

Earlier report said that the boiler of the Paiton VIII 640MW coal-fired power plant was damaged and it disrupted Java-Bali interconnection system.

Paition VIII, which is located in East Java, is operated by Paition Energy Company.(godang)
