PAL, Geological Agency sign contract for Geomarin V survey vessel

State ship builder PT PAL Indonesia and the Geological Agency under the  Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry have signed a procurement contract for the Geomarin V vessel aimed at strengthening the country’s marine geological survey and mapping capabilities.

The vessel is expected to support marine surveys, research, exploration and integrated ocean data collection activities.

PAL said the Geomarin V project forms part of Indonesia’s strategic national programs and reflects cooperation between the government and domestic industry to support maritime technology development.

According to the company, the vessel will contribute to marine resource management, energy resilience and broader maritime development initiatives in Indonesia.
