PAM Mineral to raise production by 60%

PT PAM Mineral, a subsidiary of nickel mining firm PAM Group, will increase its nickel ore production by about 60 percent from the current 150,000 tons per month to 250,000 tons per month beginning next month.

?Our production of nickel ores now is 150,000 tons per month, or 1,8 million tons per year. Next month, we will increase it to 250,000 tons per month,? PAM Business Development Director Ruddy Tjanaka told Petromindo.com in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Wednesday.

Ruddy added that now heavy equipment units have been mobilized to the concession area as part of its efforts to raise the production.

PAM Mineral has a nickel mining concession of 1,200 hectares in Morowali regency of Central Sulawesi province.
