Pama gets $3.3b contract extension from Kideco

East Kalimantan coal miner PT. Kideco Jaya Agung has agreed to extend mining contract with Indonesia?s top mining contractor PT.Pamapersada Nusantara for another 10 years starting 2009, a company official said on Wednesday.

PT.United Tractors (UT) Investor Relations Ari Setiyawan told Petromindo.Com that under the contract, Pama will remove 90 million bcm of overburden per annum and mine 12 MTPA of coal for Kideco.

UT, an IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor and miner, is Pama?s parent company.

Pama said in a release that the contract is estimated to worth US$3.3 billion.

Pama had been working for Kideco since 1998.(denny)
