Pama Persada reports increase in 2005 coal, overburden production

Indonesia?s top coal mining contractor PT. Pama Persada Nusantara booked increased coal production of 35.3 million tones in 2005 or 20 percent higher than 2004 production of 29.4 million tones, parent company JSX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT. United Tractors said in a statement released Thursday.

In 2005, Pama removed 283.5 million bcm of overburden, or 41 percent higher than 2004 removal of 201.6 million bcm.

The company did not state Pama?s 2006 production and removal target.

Pama is Indonesia?s largest mining services provider. The company?s existing clients include PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Indominco Mandiri, PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam, PT Multi Harapan Utama, PT Dasa Eka Jasatama, and PT Kideco Jaya Agung. (alex)
