Pama reports higher coal, overburden production

Publicly listed heavy equipment supplier PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported Tuesday its wholly-owned subsidiary mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) produced 31.5 million tons of coal until the end of third quarter of 2006, a 20 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
UT said that Pama?s overburden removal reached 258.7 million bank cubic maters (bcm) during the period or 23 percent higher than last year?s corresponding period.
Pama?s revenue also increased to Rp.5.92 trillion for the nine month ended Sept 30 from Rp.4.67 trillion on the same period last year, adding that coal mining projects of PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Indominco Mandiri and PT Kaltim Prima Coal were the largest contributors to Pama's current revenue.
