Pama?s Q1 coal production, overburden increase by 27%

Indonesia?s leading mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama), a unit of Indonesia-listed heavy equipment distributor and miner PT United Tractor (UT), delivered 18.6 million tons of coal in the first quarter of the year, 27 percent higher than last year?s production of 14.5 million tons due to lower rate of rainfall in the quarter.

UT said on Thursday that overburden removal during the quarter reached 153.8 million bcm, a 27 percent increase from 121.05 million bcm in the same period of last year.

Pama?s revenue in the quarter grew 23 percent to Rp 4.05 trillion from Rp 3.28 trillion in the same period of last year. (denny)
