Central Kalimantan coal miners PT Asmin Bara Baronang (ABB) and PT Asmin Bara Jaan (ABJ), both subsidiaries of PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama), seeks to produce stable output this year.
?Last year, both of them produced 400,000 tons of coal over a four month period from September until December. For this year, we expect a similar monthly quantity from them, around 100,000 tons? said Pama?s President Director Frans Kesuma. Pama owns the majority shares of ABB and ABJ.
He however, expressed the possibility of lifting up the production of both coal miners, but Pama will wait until June for the signs of coal price to rebound. Assuming both coal miners produce 100,000 tons per month, their total production for 2014 will be 1.2 million tons.
ABB and ABJ located in Kapuas and Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan with estimated reserves of 60 million tons (gross) and a calorific rate of 5,800?6,900 kcal/kg (adb).
